If you have never had your car on the Dyno then it is difficult to explain the heart in mouth experience, I was fine watching others but when it came to my turn I was eeeerrr nervous (is your car going to make it ???).

I had only watched the 5 speed cars before it was my turn so was unsure what to expect, some of the auto's that ran earlier just stayed in second but mine went through the gears. Not sure why there was a difference but the car span to max revs in 4th which equated to 179mph on the Dyno computer. On MY 91 on the speed sensor was moved to the front wheels so my speedo registered 0mph :-(.

A downside to the auto shifting through the gears was that I had no readings below 4250 which is where the max torque occurred, next time I will do a run with the shift lever in second so I can register the lower rpms.

I think everyone learned something about their car, that and meeting up with a great bunch of people is what it is all about. Apart from Louie we were all novices which in some respects made it a better day.

Awesome stuff.
